PlayStation VR2 is ready to be launched on February 22

The most recent PlayStation 5-only VR headset from Sony is called PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2). Since it was officially unveiled last year, we’ve been gradually gaining a better idea of what to anticipate. PlayStation VR2 is ready to be launched on February 22 2023. The PlayStation VR2 headgear builds on the success of the first PSVR headset, which debuted in 2016 for the PS4.

On November 15, a limited number of markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, will begin accepting pre-orders for the PS VR2 headset exclusively through the PlayStation store. Pre-orders will open on November 15 through Sony PlayStation retail partners in additional areas.

Features of PlayStation VR2

With an OLED screen, a 110-degree field of view, and 4K HDR compatibility, the PlayStation VR2 headgear is a significant improvement over the first. Additionally, it supports up to 120Hz for gaming play and better frame rates. You won’t need to set up extra cameras to follow your motions because the VR headset features four built-in cameras in the front of the display.

The upgraded PS VR equipment from Sony is compatible with the PS5. In addition to having slightly better specs, the revamped hardware is also slightly lighter and smaller than its predecessor. “We’ve created the PS VR2 headset with comfort in mind, in a slightly slimmer and lighter design compared to our previous headset. We’ve also included an integrated vent for extra airflow, and a lens adjustment dial for a more customized feel. We hope players will enjoy this new design”, says the PlayStation Blog.

Similar to the DualSense, the new orb-shaped PSVR2 Sense controllers have adjustable triggers, haptic feedback, and the ability to detect finger touches. They will grab players’ senses and provide an immensely rich sense of immersion when paired with appropriate games.

Just a few of the PlayStation VR2 games, such as Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil Village, and others, were shown by Sony. But there are still more titles to disclose. 11 brand-new PS VR2 games’ creators were introduced today. Price of PlayStation VR2

The cost of the PlayStation VR2 will be $549.99 in the US, €599.99 in Europe, £529.99 in the UK, and 74,980 in Japan. The VR headgear itself will come with stereo headphones and Sense controllers, but a charging station for the controllers will be sold separately for $49.99.
