George Hotz's 12 week internship at Twitter-What is he fixing?

Elon Musk will be overseeing George Hotz‘s 12-week internship at Twitter. Hotz is a well-known iPhone hacker who reportedly once turned down a job at Tesla working on its driver-assistance technologies. The social media company’s search feature needs to be fixed, according to Hotz, and the prompt that limits anonymous online browsing of the site must be removed.

Hotz seems, by all accounts, to in the middle between significant projects at the present time, having as of late withdrawn his high level driver help organization Comma.ai before the end of last month. Hotz suggested in a note announcing his departure that in order for Comma.ai to grow from a startup into a sustainable consumer-focused business, it needs a new type of leader.

Hotz supported Musk’s extremely strict ultimatum to Twitter’s employees, which required them to work long hours or leave the company. Hotz stated that he would be willing to do an internship at the company and that “this is the attitude that builds incredible things.”

Fixes for Twitter’s search function are being developed immediately by George Hotz. Hotz stated in a tweet that these include making it simpler to locate the advanced modifiers of the search function and making the feature less dependent on you typing the exact text you want to find.

After laying off nearly two-thirds of its employees in the immediate aftermath of Musk’s takeover of the business, Twitter is actively recruiting for positions in engineering and sales. The announcement of the internship comes at a time when Twitter is doing so. Following Musk’s ultimatum regarding the company’s new work ethic, thousands were fired directly, and hundreds of others chose to leave.
