In order to establish itself as an “ultra-premium vehicle and EV mobility brand,” the Milan-based startup Aehra has released a number of teaser photos of its first production model. In October 2022, a SUV with an aerodynamic form will be unveiled, and in February 2023, a sedan will follow. Both vehicles are expected to go into production in 2025.
It has been established with the intention of upending the premium EV market with the launch of two initial models (an SUV and a sedan) over the course of the following three years. Aehra is an electric car start-up established in Milan, Italy, with plans to become global with a concentration on the US, Europe, China, and the Gulf nations.
About Aehra
Combine the sophistication of global engineering, American customer service, and EV manufacturing in the future. A consistently excellent driving experience is AEHRA’s top priority. AEHRA is a prized requirement for daily life that is as lovely as it is practical, whether used for business or pleasure. The word for era in Latin is where the brand name originates. CEO Hazim Nada, a businessman and theoretical physicist, is in charge, and Filippo Perini, a former director of Lamborghini Centro Stile, is in charge of design.
It appears that Aehra wants to design and engineer its electric vehicles in Italy as well as build them there, with the hope that they will be available to customers around the year 2025. Unlike many EV startups, however, Aehra has not yet mentioned any connection to China. It is not owned or run by a Chinese company, as is frequently the case among such new companies.
How will Aehra be different from its competitors in the market?
The enigmatic teasers show an SUV with fairly odd proportions, including a low bonnet, conta oured body, a greenhouse similar to a coupe, and a slender roofline. Quad thin LED graphics are what give the front and back illumination their distinctive look. The car’s four upward-swinging gullwing-style doors, which give it an exotic aspect, are its best feature.
According to Perini, the mission of Aehra is to “unlock the full design potential given by innovative EV platform technology in a manner never seen before.” This is meant to set the new brand apart from long-standing competitors like Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. The ingenious packaging will also allow for enough internal space for the SUV to fit an additional six-foot adult and four NBA players.
With a clear goal to address some of the basic flaws in the present global automobile industry, we founded Aehra “Nada stated. First, to develop genuinely appealing electric vehicles that are conceptualised from the outset as electric, devoid of the baggage of combustion heritage mindsets, and based on Italian design that, at long last, maximises the advantages that EV design offers, both internally and externally.
Recently Forbes asked the CEO Hazim Nanda “What can you bring that is radically different from what some of the major carmakers are delivering? In reply he told that Aehra views its cutting-edge vehicle designs as opening the door to a completely new architecture and concept of how EVs should appear and feel, allowing for the fullest possible use of all the opportunities made possible by the switch from fossil fuels to electricity.
In terms of emotive outside design, internal idea, opulent luxury, and travelling experience, Aehra will provide something wholly unique and incredibly attractive. Through aerodynamic effectiveness, lightweight design, and in-cabin experience, we will bring even more value.
In terms of production and assembly, AEHRA will follow its strategic strategy of hand-selecting the very best and most cutting-edge technology and environmentally friendly materials available worldwide. The company has opted to engage with reputable manufacturing partners rather than investing much in building its own production facilities.
How Aehra plans to gain trust of people?
In time period for the start of production, Aehra envisions powertrain technology as the main area of innovation being commoditized as consumers demand far more (from their EV) than meaningless figures like 1,000+ horsepower. Aehra believes that the shift will affect all other aspects of the cars as a result of the rise in vehicles with 800 km (497 miles) ranges, and the firm will provide this through a significant redesign of its existing products.
According to Hazim Nada, the SUV’s name and complete design will be revealed in October. He said the initial model would cost between $160,000 and $180,000. The market debut by Aehra is scheduled for 2025, with a phased rollout planned for North America, Europe, the UK, China, and the Gulf States. According to Top Gear, during the first year of manufacturing, the company intends to have sold more than 15,000 SUVs and 15,000 cars.
