AMD has announced the new Ryzen 7000-series CPUs. They are faster and better than we thought.

The zen 4 chips have a higher single-threaded bump than what AMD told at Computex.

Despite the fact that Lisa Su first presented Zen 4 at CES 2022, it was predicted that the new AM5 platform will support a variety of chipsets. Much like AM4 has a lifespan of more than 500 motherboards thanks to the X370, X470, X570, and all chipsets in between.

AMD has launched the new Ryzen 7000-series CPUs, which are claiming to be higher performance than expected for its new Zen 4 processors.

The Ryzen 7000 series, which use the new 5nm Zen 4 architecture, will have four SKUs at launch – the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X and Ryzen 5 7600X.

KEY SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW 7000-SERIES CPUs

The prices above are lower than recently leaked amounts, which is good news for consumers and enthusiasts. However, they are much higher than their predecessors. The Ryzen 5 5600X, for example, currently retails for $199 and Intel’s Core i5-12600K retails for $240, so for the $299 Ryzen 5 7600X at least, performance needs to be significantly better than those CPU

At the end of September, a whole new motherboard chipset and socket will be released alongside the new processors. The new X670 and X670 Extreme motherboards will be released simultaneously, with prices beginning at $125. However, many, many significantly more costly choices will be provided by manufacturers like Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI.
